Luxembourg-based binsfeld’s Luxaviation client has recently acquired ExecuJet Aviation Group AG of Switzerland, and by doing so becomes the second largest corporate aircraft operator in the world.

ExecuJet employs a workforce of over 1,000 staff and operates in six regions – Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia, Latin America and the Middle East. This expertise is added to Luxaviation’s with its 520 employees. Active across seven European operating companies in Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal and the UK Luxaviation also has a strong presence in the high-growth markets of Asia-Pacific through a commercial office in Singapore. The Luxaviation Group operates with a combined fleet of more than 250 aircraft.

Both companies will retain their separate identities, management teams and operational independence while benefitting from synergies within the group: purchasing of fuel, insurance, training as well as increased aircraft availability and a broader range of aircraft types.

Gerrit Basson becomes the newly appointed CEO of ExecuJet and Patrick Hansen, CEO of Luxaviation Group takes the position of Chairman of ExecuJet.

binsfeld will continue to produce the prestigious Xcellence inflight magazine for the whole group in addition to providing strategic corporate and communication guidance and also has a rolling brief to advise on branding and advertising, having recently been instrumental in developing marketing tools like the Sky Passport. This is a block-hour package that contains a comprehensive information booklet, a catalogue of the available fleet and a gift of a natural calf leather passport cover by Loro Plana. Once the block-hour package has been paid for it can be quickly activated to book flights via phone or email 24/7.
