Rodrigo Viana de Freitas, new president of IPRN

Rodrigo Viana de Freitas, general director of Central de Informação, has just been elected president of the International Public Relations Network (IPRN). The election was held in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia), during the Annual General Meeting (AGM), being unanimously elected for a three-year executive term, renewable for another three years. The Portuguese succeeds the Spanish Luis González, who was president since 2016.

After being non-executive president of the network between 2019 and 2021 and having organized the world meeting in Lisbon at the end of last year, Rodrigo Viana de Freitas now assumes the highest position of the organization, with the advisory support of a board of CEOs. of member agencies from the USA, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Brazil, Spain, Germany and Saudi Arabia. The main objective, according to the new president, “is to strengthen the network’s reputational capital, through a partner plan and new content and tools, in order to expand representation in all geographies and attract new international customers the members”.

Rodrigo Viana de Freitas is 48 years old and co-founder and CEO of Central de Informação since 2004, a multi-award winning communication and events agency. Graduated in Social Communication and finishing an MBA at the Universidade Católica, he was vice president of APECOM (Portuguese Association of Consulting Companies in Communication and Public Relations), between 2015 and 2021, and member of the jury at several international festivals such as Cannes Lions or Stevie Awards.
