The Nexus Communications healthcare team won Best OTC Marketing Campaign on a Small Budget for Mentholatum’s Deep Heat brand at the recent OTC Marketing Awards on 6th March 2014. Nexus Communications has worked with Mentholatum since 2009 and this was the fifth year in a row the team has won such an award for its work with the company.
The judges recognised the multi-faceted campaign which incorporated various elements of the marketing mix. Well planned research and targeting of the consumer helped reach both core and new audiences which delivered impressive sales and PR reach figures.
The team also achieved a highly-commended award in the Best OTC Public Relations Campaign for a Non-Medicine category for their work on Regenovex.
The judges commented “Challenged by social media scepticism and a lack of news, the Regenovex team were inspired to link joint pain with the weather. This delivered for them because they were able to turn a relatively light-hearted idea into a well thought out and evidence-based campaign on a very tight budget”
