Milan-based Twister Communications Group opens in Dubai

Twister Communications Group has become the first Italian communications firm to open a dedicated office in the Middle East. Based in Dubai’s Media City Twister Middle East will act as a partner for Italian firms working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as for those Italian companies seeking entry into this market.

Under the leadership of Elena Gramatica, managing director and partner, the company will provide corporate communication consulting services. With a broad background in public relations, which includes a deep understanding of the luxury and consumer goods markets, Elena worked previously with Leocomm Dubai and prior to that with Il Sole 24 Ore group.

Since opening its doors in September Twister Middle East has already secured contracts with world-class companies and has signed an agreement with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the UAE.

Chairman of the Twister Group, Fabio Raineri, commented, “The opening of our office in Dubai and the agreement with the Italian Chamber of Commerce confirms the validity of our growth strategy. In 2011 we refocused the business on three areas of expertise – Corporate & Finance, Consumer and Digital. We opened an office in Rome in April and this September we opened in Dubai.

Elena Gramatica added to this saying, “We followed “We executed a public relations programme for the Italian Cuisine World Summit of Dubai, a series of events that took place from 6 to 10 November with the most prestigious Italian chefs from round the world attending.

Elena continued, “We anticipate signing a series of contracts very soon with major Italian and French luxury goods companies that need to project their brands in the Gulf, a key market for them.”

Conference to discuss challenges marked Twister Middle East launch

Coinciding with the opening of its office in Dubai Twister, in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore, organised a conference “Italy toward the Middle East: business and communication strategies. The meeting addressed top managers of multinationals and major Italian companies not yet present in UAE to discuss the challenges and opportunities of working in this market.
