London-based IPRN member Broadgate Mainland, the leading professional and financial services agency, has been praised for its workplace practices, achieving a ‘Highly Commended’ position in this year’s Best Places to Work Awards run by PRWeek. The awards recognised the company’s commitment to flexible working practices and its development programme which is tailored to the ambitions and learning style of each employee. PRWeek singled out the firm’s flexible working hours and highlighted its benefits package, including a six per cent contribution to pensions on top of salaries and private healthcare.
The PRWeek Best Places to Work awards for the UK PR industry take place annually and nearly 100 companies entered this year. Broadgate Mainland was one of four agencies shortlisted for their staff development and HR practices in the small agency category for companies with up to 29 members of staff. Broadgate Mainland’s commendation builds on the recent success of gaining Investors In People (IIP) Bronze status. This is one of the advanced accreditations within the IIP scheme, which are only achieved by around 10% of companies who participate in the programme. The accreditation was testament to the commitment of the firm to develop its staff and provide a healthy and enjoyable workplace environment.
Roland Cross, Director, said: “We strongly believe in producing an atmosphere that is creative, fun, friendly and supportive for staff. Get this right and you create the environment that is conducive to achieving client objectives and making a tangible difference to client businesses. We want all our staff to be actively involved in making our company a success and recognise the importance of both challenging and stimulating staff to achieve and develop their own skills, balanced with a healthy and rewarding environment where staff take responsibility and enjoy working for the company.”
