PR & More were responsible for the planning and implementation of the economic event of the year for the area of Cluj. On behalf of their client BOSCH they implemented a huge two-day event to inaugurate and celebrate the opening of BOSCH’s newest Romanian location – an automotive electronics factory near Cluj.
The aim of the events was two fold: firstly to emphasise that Cluj and BOSCH go perfectly together because they understand each other and ‘speak a common language’.
The second, and underlying objective, was to ensure that any lingering doubts as to BOSCH’s intention to remain in the area were refuted. The company has been present in Romania for several decades, has millions of Romanian customers and has no intention of closing and leaving as other major investors in the Cluj area have already done.
From the branding of event to the creation of short movies the message was the same: the innovative spirit of BOSCH and the talented people of Cluj work fantastically well together – sparking new technologies for the world and fostering local development.
Day one saw the official opening with traditional speeches and ribbon cutting and then came the surprises. A full symphony orchestra played “Ode to Joy” and a film welcoming Cluj employees to the BOSCH family was shown.
On the second day employees and their families were invited to a huge outdoor party by the BOSCH international team and were invited to say ‘yes’ to the question “Sprechen Sie BOSCH?” – “Do you speak BOSCH?”
PR & More masterminded every aspect of the two-day event and in addition to planning the opening they also were responsible for video editing, design, DTP, media relations and below the line activity.
